In the heart of Currency Creek, Beklyn Wines is a true family affair — born from a love of the land and the artistry of winemaking. Their story began back in 1994, tending vines across McLaren Vale and Currency Creek, where a deep appreciation grew for the craft that turns vineyard work into something beautiful in the glass. By 2002, with three young children in tow, the family settled on their own patch of land in Currency Creek on the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula. They planted their first vines, named the property Beklyn (“Pretty Brook,” inspired by the creek that runs through the estate), and set out to create wines that reflect the charm and character of their home. After years of care and anticipation, the dream came to life with their first release — the 2018 Beklyn Shiraz — a wine that captures the best of the region’s generous fruit and coastal freshness. Each bottle is a labour of love, handcrafted from vine to glass, and shared with the same joy it was made.
