Description
A wine all about modern Barossa Valley wine making, allowing the purity of the fruit to be the star. And another example of Dewey Station’s commitment to good humour and good times, while remaining very serious about their wines. The Mars Express is really a masculine Barossan red, and a full-bodied offering that will be enjoyed by all, but especially suited for the many fans of the traditional big Barossa Shiraz. The wine has an enticing vibrant colour, with beautiful inky black fruits jostling their way into dominance (just!) over rich anise, dark olive and charred oak that simply demands attention. Add to that perfectly balanced tannins and spice, and this award winning wine is a real bang for the money. A powerful drink young, but will soften somewhat with cellaring for 8-10 years. Serve with rich game casseroles, a juicy steak or a meaty pasta.
