Description
A beautiful and classic French blend of the three grapes Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, most known for its Côtes du Rhône applications and what the Aussies would call GSM or simply Good Stuff Mate! This wine from the Languedoc region in the very South of France really showcases the vineyard’s soil diversity, and at Nizas volcanic soil Syrah is the queen beautifully supported in harmonious alchemy by the other soils and grape varieties. The resulting red is medium to full-bodied, smooth and sensual, yet it quickly reveals intense notes of red fruit and sweet spices. On the palate the wine flows gently between the fruits and spices of Syrah balanced with the sweetness of old Grenache grapes and the vivacity of the Mourvèdre, delivering what is certainly a Mediterranean style wine with great generosity, complexity and precision. Made with soft enough tannins for immediate enjoyment but will also cellar for another 3-4 years. Serve this one with BBQ meats, a roasted leg of lamb or your favourite burgers.
