Description
Sigurd Wines, a beloved brand among customers, has released a new vintage Syrah that is sure to impress. This exquisite dry red wine boasts a medium body and a vibrant profile of wild blueberries, held together by a subtle hint of cedary oak. Despite being a bright and balanced offering for the Barossa, it doesn’t come across as too showy, and the fruit concentration continues to shine through on the palate, thanks to a firm and silky tannin profile. The wine is made by fermenting for 20 days with roughly 20% whole bunch and a small addition of whole bunch Viognier (around 3%). This Syrah pairs beautifully with a veal rack featuring a fresh herb crust and duck fat potatoes. You can enjoy it right away, or wait for up to 13 years, but it’s recommended to decant it an hour or so beforehand regardless of when you choose to indulge.
