Description
Our bestselling Sauvignon Blanc has been expertly crafted into an intricately dry French-style wine, creating a fresh new vintage. The Taltarni vineyard, situated in the Pyrenees wine region of Victoria, was established by John Goelet, a descendant of Bordeaux’s Guestier wine merchant family, who searched the world for a site comparable to the great vineyards of Bordeaux. Taltarni has consistently produced elegant and balanced wines that express the terroir of the region, using environmentally friendly practices to ensure the long-term quality of their grapes. The winemakers have honored these traditions with this wine by using grapes from Tasmania and Victoria, aging them on lees with regular battonage, resulting in a sophisticated and delicate complexity that perfectly matches the refined yet full flavors. The wine has also spent some time in oak, adding texture and a lingering finish. Upon opening the bottle, vibrant tropical and fresh fruit aromas greet you, seamlessly integrating with the flavors of lime, passionfruit, and white peach, driven by natural, dry acidity. The wine’s unexpected complexity and persistence of fruit are perfectly complemented by the depth of palate, making it an excellent match for fresh seafood and soft cheeses.
