From the emerging Blackwood Valley, this Tweed River Shiraz delivers a fresh, fruit-forward expression that sits comfortably between warm- and cool-climate styles. Crafted for immediacy and enjoyment, it offers excellent value while staying true to purity of fruit and regional character. Picked at optimal ripeness, the grapes were crushed into large stainless-steel fermenters and spent two weeks on skins to build colour, tannin structure and fruit intensity. Oak use was kept minimal to ensure the fruit remains firmly in focus. The nose is vibrant and inviting, opening with bright berry aromas and fresh fruit lift. On the palate, juicy red and dark berries burst through, complemented by a sprinkle of black pepper and a subtle touch of vanilla oak. Medium-bodied and supple, the wine is wrapped in silky tannins that carry through to a smooth, satisfying finish. Drinking beautifully while young, yet with enough balance and structure to cellar confidently for another few years.
