A vibrant and finely detailed Chardonnay that captures both the energy of an early harvest and the precision of thoughtful, minimal intervention winemaking. The 2024 vintage, one of the earliest on record, delivered beautifully ripe fruit with clarity, freshness and natural balance. In the glass, it shows a pale straw hue, bright and luminous. The nose is fresh and lifted, revealing pink grapefruit, lemon and lime zest alongside delicate stone fruit blossom — an aromatic profile that feels both vibrant and refined. The palate is beautifully textural and full of life, driven by lively, natural acidity that carries length and focus. Layers of citrus lead the way, with juicy stone fruit adding depth, while notes of flint, smoke and gentle char bring a subtle complexity. Creamy lees work rounds the palate, creating a harmonious balance between freshness and softness. Crafted from certified organic estate fruit, hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, the wine is wild fermented in French oak barriques and matured on lees for ten months, with regular stirring to build texture and complexity. The result is a Chardonnay that feels both precise and expressive, where purity of fruit meets understated structure. A beautiful pairing for seafood, roasted poultry or creamy vegetable dishes, while its freshness and texture also make it a pleasure to enjoy on its own. Drinking beautifully now, with the structure and balance to evolve over the medium term, where further savoury and textural nuances will continue to unfold.

CHURCHVIEW
13.5
Churchview is a family-run estate with deep roots in the Margaret River region, named after the heritage-listed St Johns Anglican Church that still watches over the vineyards today. The land itself has seen generations of settlers and growers, each leaving their mark — from early 1920s dairy farmers to the father-and-son team, Spike and Raymond Fokkema, who planted their first vines here in 1999.
With its fertile gravelly loam soils, clean water, and north-facing slopes, Churchview has grown into a thriving 100-hectare property with 56 hectares under vine and 16 varieties in play — each cultivated, crafted, and cherished with care.
Over the years, they’ve taken their stewardship of the land seriously, transforming a once-conventional farm into a fully certified organic vineyard (certified 2020) — a testament to their long-term vision and respect for nature.
