Description

A classic Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon that captures both power and precision – shaped by a warm, dry vintage that allowed the fruit to ripen beautifully while retaining depth and structure. This is a wine of intent, crafted from only the finest barrels to express the very best of Churchview. In the glass, it reveals a deep red hue, rich and commanding. The nose is layered and inviting, with ripe black fruits unfolding alongside the subtle elegance of fine French oak.  The palate is concentrated yet beautifully balanced, where black forest fruits sit at the core, supported by fine, structured tannins and a natural line of acidity that brings freshness and lift. There is a sense of harmony throughout – richness without excess – leading into a long, savoury and gently juicy finish that lingers with quiet confidence.  Following fermentation, the wine is matured for 18 months in new French oak, undergoing malolactic fermentation in barrel. Each barrel is carefully assessed over time, with only the highest-rated selected to compose this final release – a reflection of both precision and restraint.  A perfect match for premium cuts of beef, slow-cooked lamb or rich, savoury dishes, while equally rewarding when enjoyed slowly and thoughtfully on its own.  Drinking beautifully now with decanting, and built to evolve gracefully over the next decade and beyond, where further complexity, softness and depth will continue to emerge.
