We’re thrilled to present our inaugural wine from the picturesque country of Chile, and this one is truly exceptional! From the renowned Colchagua region’s beautiful Lolol Valley, Hacienda Araucano has crafted a rich, elegant red wine that unveils its complexity layer by layer. Aged for 18 months in a combination of first- and second-fill French-oak barrels, this wine showcases a blend of grape varieties (55% Syrah, 18% Carmenere, 18% Cabernet Franc, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon) with remarkable finesse. It exhibits a deep red color, offering aromas of blackberry, tobacco leaf, black cherry, cloves, and other spices. On the palate, it’s complex and intense, with a solid and concentrated entry, a broad palate, and a very supple yet concentrated tannic structure. This wine pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as game meats, braised red meats, or tagines. While it’s delightful to drink now, it’s also suitable for aging and will continue to develop for 10+ years.
