And this traditional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro is certainly at the core of such a mission. All grapes are picked on the cusp of ripeness with some whole bunches retained during the fermentation. With aromas of dark berry, olive tapenade and roasted nuts, this truly is a food accompanying wine style with excellent red fruit intensity balanced with crisp acidity and a long, textured finish. Will develop further with cellaring for another 5-7 years, but certainly a great drink already. And like any great c?tes du rh?ne you should serve this one with game like venison or moose, or any dish centred around lamb, goat or mutton.
