Naturally softer on the palate than Nebbiolo, Barbera offers rounded tannins and flowing fruit, yet when grown in La Morra, Barolo, it delivers depth and intensity in equal measure. In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby-violet colour with striking blue reflections, hinting at both power and vitality. The nose is pronounced and inviting, opening with ripe plum and cassis, layered with notes of coffee and polished mahogany that add warmth and complexity. On the palate, warm, mature tannins frame generous cherry flesh, filling the mouth with richness and ease. The texture is smooth and satisfying, carrying through to a long, subtly toasted finish that lingers with savoury depth.
