Description
Introducing a vibrant new vintage of our cherished Barbera d’Alba, which has been honored with an impressive 91-point rating by both the International Wine Report (USA) and Wine Critics (ITA). For many, the classic Barbera d’Alba Superiore is a familiar Italian companion, a style of wine that beckons us time and time again. Compared to Barolo’s most renowned grape, Nebbiolo, the Barbera grape offers a softer palate and milder tannins. However, with the grapes sourced from La Morra in the Barolo region, you can expect an abundance of flavors that will leave you fully satisfied. The wine showcases a deep ruby violet color adorned with captivating blue reflections, visually highlighting its inherent power. Even before indulging in a glass, the pronounced aromas of ripe plums, cassis, coffee, and mahogany captivate the senses.
On the palate, this wine bursts forth with warm and mature tannins, accompanied by luscious cherry flesh that carries through to a long and subtly toasted finish. Representing a true Piemonte classic from an exceptional vintage, it is already a delightful drink, but can also be cellared for an additional 5 years to further develop its character. Pair this exquisite wine with dishes such as lasagne, rosemary lamb chops, or beef stroganoff, allowing the flavors to harmonize and create a memorable dining experience.
