Often affectionately referred to as a “Baby Barolo,” MINOT Nebbiolo d’Alba offers an accessible and beautifully composed expression of 100% Nebbiolo from Monforte d’Alba. Crafted by the Negretti family in Barolo, this wine delivers a genuine glimpse into the character and structure of its more famous big brother — refined, aromatic and quietly confident. In the glass, it shows a vibrant violet-red hue with shiny amaranth tones. The nose is lifted and expressive, opening with ripe fruit, cherry and raspberry, framed by subtle floral and herbal nuances. There’s an immediate sense of freshness and clarity that draws you in. The palate begins smoothly, unfolding flavours of ripe currants and red berries, guided by lively acidity. Gentle notes of chamomile and menthol add complexity and lift, while the texture remains silky and graceful. The finish is elegant and evolving, with a soft mouthfeel and a delicate hint of vanilla lingering on the aftertaste. Drinking beautifully now on the back of our careful cellaring, yet with the balance and structure to be stored comfortably for another few years. A natural match for tomato-based pasta, gnocchi or pizza, as well as chicken or veal casseroles such as classic Osso Bucco Milanese. A charming, food-friendly Nebbiolo — approachable, expressive and unmistakably Piedmontese.

Founded in 2002 by brothers Ezio and Massimo Negretti, this family-owned winery sits in the heart of La Morra, one of Barolo’s most celebrated villages. Rooted in generations of grape growing, the Negretti brothers have transformed their family’s heritage into a modern expression of artisan winemaking — producing wines that reflect the individuality of each vineyard and the soul of Piedmont itself.
With deep respect for nature, Negretti works by hand and by instinct, using gentle vineyard practices like green harvesting and low yields to allow purity and balance to shine. Their philosophy is guided by physics over chemistry — a belief that the rhythm of the vineyard and the integrity of the fruit should lead every decision.
Barolo is their flagship, crafted from 100% Nebbiolo and known for its elegance, complexity, and aging potential. Alongside it, Langhe Nebbiolo offers a graceful introduction to the region’s hallmark grape, while Barbera, Dolcetto, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay complete the range — each wine distinct yet united by finesse, structure, and expressive terroir.
