Description
The Shaw Vineyard Estate in Murrumbateman, is one of the higher vineyards in the district at 640, taking advantage of slope and aspect to deliver ripeness & freshness to their wines. The 2008 vintage received a silver medal from the UK’s International Wine Challenge already in 2010, and has certianly been allowed time to develop furhter since then.
In the glass it has gone from a youthful ruby purple origin to a more aged brick colour. There is still plenty of peppery cassis fruit with some telling cool climate choc mint & earthiness. It is rich and has maintained a surprisingly full body even with age and will reward you for the patience. Serve this one with red meats.
