Description
A delicious top flight red that makes a strong case for Margaret River Shiraz. Intense and bright aromas of mulberries, blood
plums, cloves, ground pepper and a hint of cedary oak. Medium bodied and vibrant wine that is long, silky and wrapped in quality fine tannin. Made from Shiraz fruit from St John’s premium block, with whole berries and 15% whole bunches added to build structure and complexity. Fermented in small open fermenters with twice daily punch-downs, then matured in French and Hungarian hogsheads with 20% new barrels. A lovely wine already, but will also cellar well for 10+ years. Serve with Beef Bourgogne, a wild game casserole or a slow roasted leg of lamb.
