From the emerging Blackwood Valley, this Shiraz offers a vibrant, fruit-forward expression that sits comfortably between warm- and cool-climate styles. Crafted with care and restraint, it delivers impressive value while capturing freshness, energy and regional character. The fruit for this wine was fermented largely as whole berries, with a small portion of whole bunches retained to build weight and complexity. Hand-plunged and fermented in small open vessels, the wine was then matured primarily in seasoned oak, allowing the fruit to remain front and centre. On the nose, it is immediately appealing, with bright berry aromas and lifted fruit notes. The palate follows suit, bursting with juicy red and dark berries, complemented by a sprinkle of black pepper and well-judged vanilla oak. Medium-bodied and supple, the wine is wrapped in silky tannins that carry through to a smooth, satisfying finish.
