Made from an even blend of Grenache (39%), Shiraz (34%) and Mourv?dre (27%) this is a modern take on a C?tes Du Rh?ne blend, and a very successful one at that! The Taltarni ?dynamic? range of wines is made to represents the style, taste and artistic expression of their winemakers, and with the GSM blend they have crafted a modern wine with great attention to detail.
Showing off a deep plum colour, this lovely medium-bodied wine is perfectly balanced, while still showing the finest points of each varietal. The Grenache contributes the core bright red fruit aromatics and sweet dark berry flavours on the palate, while the Shiraz intensifies the palate with earthy notes and enriches the weight.
The Mourv?dre ties the blend together by adding soft spice notes to both aroma and palate while lingering long on the finish.
Still a young wine, it is already well balanced and will continue to develop for another 5-7 years.
It Will pair well with red meats and roast chicken but can also be worth trying next to powerful seafood such as tuna or even a salmon served with a rich sauce.
