A standout vintage of Taltarni’s Sparkling Shiraz, this release transforms a distinctly Australian style into something both refined and compelling. Crafted using méthode traditionnelle, it brings elegance, balance and structure to red bubbles — an approach recognised with multiple awards and high accolades. Sourced from Taltarni’s picturesque Pyrenees vineyards, established over 50 years ago, the wine reflects the estate’s long-standing commitment to expressing terroir while embracing thoughtful, environmentally conscious viticulture. Though proudly un-French in style, the wine was aged for six months in French oak barriques before tirage, then spent around ten months on lees to build complexity and a creamy palate. In the glass, floral aromas lead into flavours of ripe plum and raspberry, underpinned by spiced chocolate and sweet oak. On the palate, the gentle sweetness is beautifully balanced by the firm, cold-climate tannins of the Pyrenees, creating a velvety texture and impressive structure. The finish is composed, generous and persistent — delivering everything expected from a great Sparkling Shiraz. Drinking beautifully now, yet with the balance to cellar confidently for another few years.
