Crafted from a near-even blend of Semillon and Riesling grown under organic and biodynamic practices at the Heysen Estate, it embraces minimal intervention and a return to traditional, hands-off winemaking. While skin contact wines are rooted in ancient methods, they’ve found renewed appreciation among curious, forward-thinking wine lovers — and this expression captures that spirit beautifully. Aromatically, the wine opens with peach, mandarin peel and ruby grapefruit. The palate follows with bright minerality and tension, where Riesling’s natural acidity meets the textural grip of Semillon, delivering citrus flavours reminiscent of grapefruit pith and brown lime. Unfined and unfiltered, the wine has a naturally hazy appearance, with sediment settling in the bottle.
